Decking
Gazebos
Western Red Cedar is a beautiful timber to work with and has an amazing look. Its luxurious qualities make it the perfect choice for under pergolas, gazebos and eaves.
Take a close look at the pictures and you will notice that I have not needed to use any trims, due to the accuracy of my work.
Decking is a great way to bring the indoor feel, outdoors. By covering up unsightly brick pavers with a clean, crisp new wooden deck, creates a sence of great outdoor living. Also you can make a feature in the deck as you can see in the pictures.
There are a range of different timbers you can use, but be aware that the harder the timber the more it will tend to twist and warp. Have you ever tried to find a straight piece of jarrah? Take my word for it, not easy! One of the best timbers I'd recommend is kapur.
It is a hardwood and I have found through experience that it does not move and twist as much as batu or jarrah.

Some homes tend to have so much wasted space in there garden. Space is so precious so you may as well use it, you can create a great outdoor living space by incorporating a gazebo.
The gazebo in the picture with the steps going up, used to be a raised garden bed and now is a decked out area with a sunken spa. Theres a Bali style gazebo with a daybed and an LCD TV. At night time it looks fantastic with all the lights on and in one instance the client said to me that it is so relaxing and tranquil, that on several occasions he has often fallen asleep on the daybed, on warm summer nights.

Many people are opting to renovate their existing home rather than move. Lets face it, who wants to pay all that stamp duty and agents fees, Why not spend the money you would of spent on these fees, on modernizing your home. Whether it be a new kitchen, timber floors, bathroom renovations,the list is endless. And why stop on the inside of your home, why not make use of the land at the front of your house and build and enclosed wall for the kids to play, you will feel reassured knowing that they are safe and can't run into the road.
